1. What is a Pulse Oximeter? A pulse oximeter is a portable, non-invasive device that measures blood oxygen saturation (SpO2) and pulse rate (PR) through the fingertip, providing fast, accurate, and scientifically reliable readings.
2. Where is the Pulse Oximeter used? Fingertip pulse oximeters are widely used in high-altitude areas, community healthcare, oxygen bars, fitness clubs, gyms, homes, and medical facilities.
3. Product Advantages
- Displays SpO2 (blood oxygen saturation), PR (pulse rate), and PI (perfusion index). Only premium models include PI measurement.
- 4-direction adjustable OLED screen for easy reading.
- Audible alarm when SpO2 or pulse rate falls below or exceeds set limits.
- Smart power-saving mode with automatic shut-off when idle.
- Automatically starts measurement when a finger is inserted.
- Suitable for adults and children aged 10 years and older.
4. Technical Specifications – YONKER 80B Fingertip Pulse Oximeter
- OLED display shows: SpO2, PR, PI, battery level, plethysmograph waveform, and pulse bar.
- Auto power-off after 8 seconds without signal.
- 4-directional display for convenient viewing.
- Adjustable alarm thresholds for SpO2 and PR.
- Powered by 2 × AAA batteries.
- Menu for alarm settings (beep sound, etc.).
- Weight: 55.3 g (including batteries).
- Package dimensions: 90 × 60 × 37 mm.
5. Environmental Requirements
- Operating temperature: 5 ~ 40 °C
- Storage temperature: -20 ~ +55 °C
- Operating/storage humidity: ≤80% (non-condensing) / ≤93% (non-condensing)
- Atmospheric pressure: 86 kPa ~ 106 kPa
6. Instructions for Use Step 1: Check battery level. Replace with new AAA batteries if needed. Step 2: Open the clamp and insert finger fully so the fingertip touches the end stop. Note: Do not use on fingers with nail polish, artificial nails, or cosmetics. Nails must not be too long. Ensure the fingertip fully covers the sensor. Step 3: Press the power button to turn on the device. Keep finger still during measurement. Results appear on screen within seconds. Step 4: Remove finger after measurement; the device auto shuts off after a few seconds.
7. How to Read the Parameters
- SpO2: Displayed as a percentage (%) under “SpO2”. Measurement range: 0–100%. Normal range: 94–100%.
- PR (Pulse Rate): Displayed in beats per minute (bpm) under “PR”. Measurement range: 0–254 bpm. Normal resting range (adults): 60–100 bpm.
Accuracy may be affected in patients who have recently received contrast dye, have abnormal hemoglobin levels, carbon monoxide poisoning, methemoglobinemia, severe hypotension, vasoconstriction, anemia, or hypothermia.
8. Warranty 12 months – 1-for-1 exchange for manufacturer defects.
Reference SpO2 Values (source: vinmec.com)
- 97–99%: Good blood oxygen level
- 94–96%: Average; supplemental oxygen recommended
- 90–93%: Low; consult treating physician
- Below 92% (without oxygen) or below 95% (with oxygen): Severe respiratory distress
- Below 90%: Clinical emergency
