Features & Uses:

• The ACCESS™ Cheek Retractor is designed to retract the cheeks from the buccal and lingual surfaces of teeth during orthodontic procedures.

Cleaning & Sterilization:

• Can be sterilized by autoclave or dry heat.

• Important: When sterilizing using dry heat sterilizers (e.g., Cox or Dentronix), do not place any other instruments on top of the ACCESS™. Place other instruments first, then place ACCESS™ on top. Proper sterilization up to 350 °F ensures optimal retractor longevity.

Instructions for Use:

• Adjusting Tension: The retractor comes pre-tensioned for most situations. The “straight” arch is standard and should fit most patients.

• To Reduce Tension: Remove the retractor and gently bend the stainless steel arch. Repeat until the desired “continuous curve” is achieved. To increase tension, bend in the opposite direction. The retractor is then ready for intraoral use.

Maintenance Tips:

• After multiple uses and sterilization cycles, discoloration may appear on the tubes. Use SCOTCH BRITE® – Never Scratch™ Wool Soap Pads to gently and quickly remove these marks.
